09/05/12- Running like the wind

“All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the Lord blows on them.
    Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever. ” Isaiah 40:7-8 NIV

Athletics Carnival today. As much as you expect this to be a recount of how i epically won in the 1500m race or how i threw a javelin 15m, sorry to disappoint but this has none of that. Im a lazy kid and basically I'm more of a cheerer. as much as i enjoy sport i only like group sports basically because you can socialise and talk through it. But i guess i should recount my athletics carnival. Which is basically eating, talking, card games and cheering. Ate around 10 packs of lollies, chips and mega tim tam pack. Learnt a new game jungle speed which is a very intense and stressful game where everyone has to fight for one dog toy sorta thing.
Also today went to ISCF (inter school christian fellowship) with mel c and tash. Was awesome to start the day off thinking about God as our centre. It was a lovely start to the morning besides the fact that Tash told me the wrong train time and we arrived 30mins earlier but this turned into a lovely DnM time about lots of things. Really love DnMs.
Another thing that im planning to try is quiet timing in the afternoon before i start my homework. (hoping that by blogging about it, it will help me remember) It worked well besides the homework bit. Im trying (well ive been trying for a while to read through the bible from the front to the back cos well i think its time i tried.) and im up to the fourth book Numbers. Wish me luck.
On another note i may be officially going mad. I've started today on one of the world's worst mood swings. HAHA i may have even depressed a year 7 and annoyed a girl from 10hours of my face today. Lesson for today (maybe, my lessons may be dodgy) that i will never be brilliant or perfect. Not even a mastermind as much as i like to believe that i am. (people think im crazy) Well anyways through my dodginess and mood swining it has been an awesome day of fun, friendship and trying to put Jesus first.

xx Jo (and Mel)
